About Us
Good Samaritan Christian Center is a newly founded ministry. We have witnessed the need in our inner city neighborhoods for a change in the attitude of its residents. We feel this will be accomplished through the teaching of the gospel with additional programs designed to enhance the neighborhood and its residents.
My wife and myself have been teaching the gospel for 15 years. Recently I, Fred Whitney was ordained as pastor and Lois Whitney (my wife) as preacher. We have a strong belief in the bible and use it as the basis of our doctrine; in fact, it is the only doctrine that we use. Our teaching and actions are based on the results of living by what we teach. We hold weekly bible meetings, and Sunday morning Church worship services, in our home presently.
We feed several neighborhood residents that are less fortunate than ourselves on a weekly basis. These residents are physically handicapped and enjoy the meal gratefully.
We currently are a small group, but large in faith. We anticipate a very large membership in the near future.
Our goal is to teach the gospel and change the character of lives in the neighborhood. To reach out to residents in areas that are not readily available to them. To assist them in the affirmation of self worth through the changing of their life styles. We plan to reach out to the residents in communicable ways that are receptive to them. We plan to try and reach those who are left out of the mainstream line of self-help.
